Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico - Casa Hogar Mama Paulita's - Mante is a city of about 100,000. The orphanage is about 4 miles out of town. This orphanage was the first project for Orphan's Bridge. The orphanage has 30 to 44 kids depending on the time of year and other circumstances. The kids range in age from 4 years old to 16. Some of the kids stay on after 16 to continue in school. Those kids work at the orphanage to offset the costs of room and board. This is a well run facility, but is sadly under funded.

Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico - Casa Hogar Reyitos de Luz - This orphanage is small and has about 15 kids. They recently moved to the suburbs of Monterrey from a crime riddled neighborhood in the inner city. The home had no yard and was very small. Reyitos de Luz was started a few years ago by a husband and wife that saw the need. They started by taking in 5 small children that were in need of a home. They are up to 15 kids now and have moved into a larger home with a large walled yard. The property was a summer home for one of the wealthy families in the city. Though only about 1200 square feat the house is huge compared to their previous home.

Denver, Colorado - We are currently working with Tennyson Center for Children At the Colorado Christian Home. The Tennyson Center is a leading treatment center, and school, treating children and youth, ages 5-18, who have been emotionally and crisis-affected and/or suffering from abuse and neglect. The staff and volunteers at the Tennyson Center work with both the children and their families to work towards overcoming individual crises, as well as working through the abuse and neglect issues.
In 2008, the Tennyson center welcomed 1,045 volunteers totaling 19,804 volunteer hours. Orphan’s Bridge has been very excited to have been one of the sets of 40 volunteer groups. We strive to dedicate our time to enriching the lives of underprivileged children, and have found that getting involved locally, in addition to our international work, is a great way to do so.
